Karin asks:
Hi I’m 14 and I’ve noticed that a lot of my hair started falling out... i stared dying my hair red a few months ago could that be the cause of this problem? .. I’ve also noticed that my hair gets frizzy and has lots of flyaways although my hair is naturally straight/wavy and it also gets bushy towards the ends... Please give me some advice...are there any products that i could use to make my hair more shiny and smooth and to stop the hair loss?

Hi Karin.
On average you will loose around 100 hairs a day. ...More >
Depending on how often you wash it then this can seem quite allot of hair loss.
I do not think the colour would be contributing towards this.
At your young age allot of changes can be happening to your body.
What I would do recommend is below:
Wash your hair twice when you wash it.
Massage your hair and scalp to stimulate blood flow through your scalp to the hair itself.
I would recommend Love Potion Shampoo and Conditioner.
This combination is rich in Arginine what will promote healthy hair growth.
I would also use the Liquid Gold Gelee.
This is a light whipped gel that is packed full of moisture. It will not weigh your hair down but will thicken it and stop it being flyaway.
Most of your problems can e down to over use of hair straighteners if you use them.
Follow what I mention above and you should be fine.
If you do use hair straighteners then reduce the temperature to below 190 C as this will help.
Marcia asks:
Hello , I really need you’re help.My Hair is really dry and full of flyaways ,it’s a nightmare! I don’t know what to do anymore. I don’t use heat on my hair at all , I’ve never dyed my hair or anything. In my entire life I only straightened my hair like 4 times. I wash my hair once a week which is the ideal as it’s not stripping away the natural oils I believe. I don’t know what to do , It’s taking my confidence away. I would love to have that shiny looking hair but my hair is always dry no matter what. It looks like its damaged and I just feel like to cut it all off sometimes. Its horrible , please help me ! thank you

This could be down to the shampoo and conditioner you use, if it is too heavy try changing to a cleansing shampoo. If you ever do dry your hair with heat be sure to apply heat protector and speak to your colourist to have a clear gloss added to your hair. This doesn’t alter the colour but adds great shine to it which should help your confidence.

It seems to me that your hair is feeling the effects of heat styling from using hair straighteners every day. I would suggest using a shampoo and conditioner that is going to help re-hydrate your hair and help it to stay naturally straight and healthy so then you will find you don’t need to use the straighteners as much. In the long run this will mean your hair will be in better condition and will even give more natural volume. I suggest trying my Poker Straight Shampoo and Conditioner available in Boots stores. It will really help to tame any fly aways whilst at the same time the P2Fifty Complex within the formulation helps to prevent hair from excessive heat damage. If you have dry ends I was also advise you to use an intensive treatment once or twice a week to ensure you are conditioning your hair to the max and locking in lots of moisture. Hair technology has moved on a lot and now you can get straighteners which have titanium plates rather than ceramic which gives better results faster so you not only save time but cause less damage to your hair too. Maybe have a look online at some brands that offer this and check out My Poker Straight Super Hero Straighteners which offer the latest titanium technology plates. Remember to always protect your hair with protection mist before styling too!
