Britney asks:
I have permed and heat damaged hair. I was born with black, curly, wavy, long, shiny beautiful hair. But I got ringworms and I had sulfur 8 and tons of perms. Now my hair is dull, not growing, short, tangled, hard and thick! My question is, how can I repair or treat my damaged hair (and I’m mixed with black, white, indian, irish, chinese).

Hi Britney - Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. You cannot grow beautiful flowers if the soil is bad. NIOXIN has an in-salon scalp treatment called Scalp Remedy. It removes dead scalp cell build-up, hair product build-up from the scalp. It also removes follicle build-up from the hair follicles so that they can breath. Just like anything that lives, if it cannot breath it dies. When a follicle dies, it is dead forever.Next, I recommend Joico’s K-Pak Shampoo, Conditioner and Reconstructor. There is also a great breakage treatment by, Aporgee. It is very popular with black clients with breakage. Do not add any stress to your hair such as rubber bands, pony tails, etc. Let your hair rest. Good Luck.
Dakota asks:
I have a round face and I really want this kind of hair: short choppy shag, would that suit me?

Hi Dakota - You can pull if back if the hair falls forward toward your face. Also, try to keep the cut as long as possible around your face. This will help elongate your face. Go For It.
Mike asks:
I have short wavy hair and I straighten it, then wax it up spiky. I was wondering if I use a strong wax like dax wax and then went swimming with it, would the wax keep out the water and keep my hair straight?

Hi Mike - Hair can only absorb a certain amount of moisture. By applying the wax on your hair, your hair will still soak up some water but not as much due to the wax.
