Biography of Arif Velji

Indian & Persian Stylist

Arif launched his creative interest for fashion and beauty in his early twenties by entering the hair industry. With his flare for bringing the extraordinary into hairstyles, he furthered his creative passion by bringing his talents to the stage in the form of fashion shows. By combining his unique talents with his community spirit, Arif produces Fashion Shows on a grand scale whose proceeds always support the community and their charities.

As Director/Choreographer
ARIF has been an influence in the dance ,fashion,theatrical world for over 15 years. With his visionary approach to fashion/ dance/theater, innovative multi-discipline productions incorporating spoken word, live and commissioned music, artist-inspired decor and unusual production elements, ARIF has defied convention and created a distinct signature style, educational approach and philosophy.

As an Artistic Director
ARIF has created over 15 pieces–including 7 full-evening productions–and designed lights, decor and costumes as Stageworks. A playwright as well as a choreographer,

In the fashion world ARIF has worked with local Designers ,Boutiques to create and Captivate the attention of the entertainment industry .ARIFS work is a unique combination of strength and sensuality. His passion for dance/theatre/ fashion continues to evolve and inspire local artists in music, fashion and even charity. Today, ARIF is cultivating an international career as an innovative choreographer alongside his list of international shows in ASIA, EUROPE, AFRICA and CANADA

Hair
Schooled in East Africa, England and Canada. Arif brings an assortment of education, a unique flavor of many cultures and a wealth of expertise to the fashion industry. After receiving his Diploma in Hairdressing and his Diploma in Arts in Africa, he furthered his knowledge of hairdressing and hair tricology (hair replacement) in England at Pierre Alexander and continues to upgrade his skills. With his extensive experience and knowledge of the hair industry, Arif runs his own business as a hair stylist and hair replacement expert.
