Hair stylist to the stars.The History:
Errol first started working in a local hair salon in East London aged 11. He gained his qualifications at Roger Heart's aged 16 to 19. During this time he met with Paul Edmonds and moved to Neville Daniel to take his career to the next level. Errol then was head hunted by the Ginger Group and became their Educational Director. When Paul Edmonds opened his own salon, Errol started working with him as the Artistic Director. Errol later did a full circle and returned to Neville Daniel as the Artistic Director for six years until leaving to start his own salon business.
The Salon:
In summer of 1998, Errol's dream became a reality as he opened his own hair salon in London's swanky Belgravia Village. Errol was involved early in the design stages and helped to create his modern, light, and spacious salon that was to become a haven for relaxation and pampering. Since the opening, the salon has grown in strength and success following the dedication of Errol and his team of talented stylists.

Hailed as a fusion of European and Afro styling, the Errol Douglas salon is renowned for being the specialist salon in London. With a team of dedicated stylists, customers can experience some of the best cutting, finishing, colouring, Afro styling, men's styling, bridal and evening, hair extensions, and the Avant-Garde. Determined to encourage customers to experience the full Errol Douglas salon experience, a beauty area, masseur, nail technician, in-house catering service, chauffeur, exclusive jewellery range and personalised umbrellas are also available.
Goldwell Partnership:
The partnership with Errol Douglas and Goldwell Professional Haircare was a natural link when Errol set up his own salon. His renowned reputation as a hairdresser who makes women look beautiful combined with Goldwell's recognition as an established market leader in professional hair care throughout the UK led to an inevitable partnership. Goldwell has continued to support and encourage Errol in his successful career as one of Britain's top stylists.
Accolades:
Errol won British Afro Hairdresser of the Year in 1994 and 1996. In 1995 he won the London L'Oreal Colour Trophy and the Cosmopolitan Style Awards and in 1996, won the BaByliss Award. Errol was selected as one of the first Fellowship F.A.M.E Team members in 1994. In 2001, Errol was nominated for the ‘Men of Merit Recognition Award' alongside Lennox Lewis and Ian Wright. Errol has been nominated four times for British Hairdresser of the Year, most recently in 2001, and has received numerous nominations for London Hairdresser, Session Stylist and Men's Hairdresser of the Year.
Industry Involvement:
Errol is an active member of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing and was awarded with the Fellow with Honours award in the year 2000. He is a member of the National Hairdressers Federation, Hairdressing Council and actively supports HABIA.
Errol is regularly invited to judge hairdressing competitions and has been involved in judging National Hairdressing Awards in Australia, Britain, Holland, Japan and Spain. He is also a regular face on the judging panel for the annual Wahl/Black Beauty & Hair Awards, and spends his time visiting and judging competitions for students in Colleges and Training Schools across the UK.
Seminars/Shows:
Errol is very keen to share his hairdressing skills and techniques with a wider audience. His involvement in shows and seminars across the world allows him to reach this audience. Errol has performed in Australia, Britain, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the USA.
Shows and exhibitions that Errol has been involved in includes: Salon International, Spring Salon, World Hairdressing Congress, BBC Clothes Show Live, Cosmopolitan Show, The Wedding Show, BBC Fashion Live, and the Prima Baby Show.
The Media Career:
Errol first began his road to media success in his days at Neville Daniel. Errol juggled his time between the salon environment and session styling. Early in his career, Errol became a regular on the BBC Clothes Show, which eventually led to his slot on the BBC Style Challenge. Other television appearances have also included GMTV, This Morning, Good Morning, Carlton's After 5, London Tonight, Watchdog, Kilroy, They Think It's All Over, plus many more consumer programmes. More recently, Errol has had a weekly slot on the Boot's Wellbeing channel, appeared on the Disney Channel, Davina McCall's ‘Oblivion', Channel Four ‘Model Behaviour' and BBC 2's ‘Tell it to me Straight'.
Errol's photographic collections are constantly seen on the pages of hair magazines throughout the UK and Worldwide. His session styling work, hairdressing quotes and unique salon services are regularly featured in magazines such as Vogue, Harpers & Queen, Tatler, Red, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Woman's Journal and many more.

Errol has been invited to style the hair for a number of catwalks including Christian Dior, John Galliano, Bruce Oldfield, Red or Dead, and Planet Windsmoor to name a few.
