Creative Director of the ChapelOver this period Gary also worked as a session stylist, delivering the gold-standard at live fashion shows and glossy magazines photoshoots, was nominated as a southern Hairdresser Of The Year finalist on three separate occasions, and still found time to coach a new wave of upcoming stylists. As a global Redken artist Gary still travels internationally, delivering the cutting-edge in innovation, technique and best practice via practical demonstrations to stylists across the globe.
As an innovator Gary has always looked outside the hair industry, to iconic fashion designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen, to find inspiration. “As they use the finest fabrics then cut the material to fit the body elegantly and imaginatively, so I cut and colour hair to create unique, personal styles that harmonise and compliment each natural face and body shape,” he explains.
Back in our Tunbridge Wells salon, Gary also continues to spearhead our mission to educate and inform, helping our guests achieve a range of fantastic looks that they're also able to practically maintain post salon, and is always ready to share the ‘how's, why's and what's' of every tool and product he uses.
