Biography and Latest Hairstyle Collections of Guy Kremer
The international style makercontemporaries and celebrities alike.
Client-wise, his bustling Winchester salon attracts a discerning patronage, the type of men and women who understand the difference great hairdressing services make. Women leave the salon looking amazing and feeling fabulously feminine; men are confident of a haircut that is both flattering and fashionable.
Multi-award winning Guy (with a stack of creative and business accolades to his name) has developed a salon famed for its technical expertise and excellent customer care. Clients are informed about the latest looks and have their hair individually styled to perfectly suit their personality and lifestyle, before being prescribed a bespoke regime of home care and style products, most likely from his own gorgeous range of brilliantly performing haircare products simply called: Guy Kremer, Professional Salon Style.
In the professional arena, the demand for a Guy Kremer show, educational seminar or platform presentation is huge. His cutting, barbering and outstanding long hair skills combine classic techniques with contemporary flair, impressing and inspiring hairdressers the world over. Little wonder Guy that Guy was voted by the USA's No 1 trade magazine, Modern Salon, as one of the Top 75 Educators of the Century.
International hairdressing audiences from Mumbai to Dubai, Japan to Brazil thunderously applaud Guy's models. Breath taking looks from face framing gamine crops and sharp bobs to full bouncy curls and perfectly balanced chignons, all invariably complemented by designer dresses secured via Guy's close contacts in the world of crème de la crème fashion. His agenda is packed with overseas bookings to represent top hair trade manufacturers – such as L'Oreal Professionnel for whom he is an Ambassador – as well as catwalk fashion shows for luminaries like Jean Paul Gaultier and Isabell Kristensen.
A master of the make-over, his dextrous, quick and versatile handiwork is regularly seen in top titles such as Fabulous Magazine, Hello, OK, Cosmo, Good Housekeeping, Marie Claire, Vogue... the list goes on. His seasonal hair picture fashion collections are published in top trade magazines globally – Europe, Asia, Australia, the USA included.
And no stranger in celebrity circles, Guy has styled the hair of numerous media darlings for magazine editorials and always looks forward to the regular visits of celebrities-now-turned-friends Ruby Wax, Maria Grachvogel and Roger Waters.
Most recently, Guy was propelled to celebrity status himself after a tour of India dressing the hair of the country's top cricketers led to a TV appearance, resulting in Bollywood stars clamouring for Guy as their preferred hair professional. Since then, he has joined forces with a businessman from Calcutta to open seven salons and ten spas in just nine months called the ‘Guy Kremer Eyecatcher' Group. It's become an instant success bringing beautiful modern hairdressing to India's style-savvy fashionistas.
Visiting India every month to serve his celebrity clients and train the team, Guy is the resident hair columnist for Style Speak Magazine and regularly appears in Vogue, India's fashion and beauty section. And determined to help local under privileged children, he donates 10 percent of the Indian salons and spas profit to support 60 Calcutta orphans.
Compassionate by nature, Guy regularly hosts or stages numerous UK fund-raising events to assist children's cancer charities and other child-related deserving causes.
It was when a child himself that Guy developed his love affair with hair in eastern France, watching his mother having her hair styled every week. He took an apprenticeship aged 14, coming to the UK aged 21 to learn to speak English and further develop his skills. Captivated by the charm of Winchester, he opened his own salon just three years later.
“I am still so fascinated by hair, I love transforming it and playing with all its possibilities,” says hairdressing supremo Guy. “It's so satisfying when a client turns to you with a smile and says ‘I love it' – that's the best reward I can receive.”
