Head of the P.Kai hair groupAward-winning stylist Kai is an experienced all-rounder but is especially renowned for his styling and dressing. As an accomplished photographer (he saved to buy his original SLR camera from his first hairdressing pay packets) he has a great eye for detail and is passionate about hair, beauty and fashion. A great mentor, he has worked extensively as a platform artist and been shortlisted for the British Hairdressing Awards in the Newcomer and Eastern categories.
Kai's creative input is valued greatly by the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, for whom he regularly shoots, and Wella Professionals where he has been a Guest Artist for several years. Kai got the taste for competition work as a young apprentice, winning several NHF competitions before concentrating on building his clientele and salon business in Cambridgeshire (2 salons to date, with the first celebrating 10 years with a refit end 2013). As well as Kai's 2 finalist positions for Eastern Hairdresser of the year (2011/2012), Donna, a former member of the Generation Now team, has also been shortlisted for Newcomer of the Year (2011) and the salon was named Eastern Salon of the Year in the Your Hair awards. The P.Kai Art Team has evolved into a collaboration of talented individuals in their own right; Kai's work has featured in many hair industry and consumer titles and the team's creative talents bring together an exciting mix of polished styling, precision cutting and beautiful colour work.
