Kevin Fortune has been working as a highly successful Hair Stylist & Make-Up Artist for over 20 years. From an early age, Kevin had a strong desire to express his artistic sensibilities through painting and sculpting - creating unique eye-catching visions that would leave people touched, moved & inspired. Hair-styling and Make-Up-artistry soon became a natural choice. He diligently worked his way up to be sought-after by many of London's top TV production companies & young style and fashion stars. His career has allowed him to work closely with a wide and varied international crowd of high-profile personalities: from La Roux to Kim Cattrall, Kelly Osborne to Sharon Osborne, Alexa Chung to Serena Williams, Nick Grimshaw to Simon Amstell, Pixie Geldolf to Fergie ( Black Eyed Peas) - The list goes on.
Kevin continues to build upon his exceptional knowledge and experience in hair and make-up by working on Fashion-editorials and Advertising campaigns, TV Dramas and Feature-films, Music-videos, Red-carpet events and Award shows. He made it his mission to be able to turn his hand to all hair types, from white bleached-blond European to tight Afro-textured hair, wigs and weaves. He has become well-known for creating styles of timeless beauty for his clients and is respected within the industry as a calm, inspiring artist and creative team-leader.
Kevin has devoted his professional life to making women feel extremely special and beautiful – he thrives on his clients being blown-away by the way they look and feel, whether it's a simple bun or a well planned out transformation. Kevin knows the importance of on-going training, especially within his field of work, as new techniques and products mean there are always exciting new creative possibilities to explore.
Having taught at various schools across the country over the past 10 years, sharing and passing on his wealth of experience to the next generation of image-makers has become an integral part of his career-path. Earlier this year, he has launched the Kevin Fortune Hair Styling Academy, right in the heart of London's West-End, creating one of very few places in the country dedicated exclusively to the art of session hair styling. Kevin and his selected team of industry experts will be offering stylists the opportunity to expand upon their existing styling skills across intensive short and full-time Courses and Master-classes, nurturing their dedication to develop their own unique sense of style and creative vision.
