Since establishing the award-winning Westrow hairdressing group in 1987 with co-owner Marc Westerman, Steve Rowbottom has, as head of creative direction, taken the brand from strength to strength, now boasting eight salons across Yorkshire and a 5,000 sq ft educational Academy in the heart of Leeds. Creatively-minded, but commercially savvy, Steve is forward thinking in all areas integral to the evolution of the Westrow business, which celebrated 29 years in business this year. Responsible for keeping the business at the forefront of technical excellence and with a dedication to discipline, Steve loves re-interpreting classic techniques; is committed to education and pushing the creative boundaries and strives for excellence in all areas. Westrow was the winner of the prestigious 2012 L'Oréal Colour Trophy, while Steve was crowned 2012 Business Director of the Year at the British Hairdressing Business Awards, an accolade he shared with his business partner, Marc Westerman.
