ANDREW
BARTON
Andrew Barton is International Creative Director for, Saks, which is the UK's
leading franchise salon group and has over 80 salons nationwide. He is responsible
for creating images, seasonal collections and the company's signature hairdressing
techniques.
His down to earth approach and warm manner are part of his
charisma and have ensured a faithful following of clients including TV and media
celebrities. "I respect clients' privacy so I am careful not to divulge who I
take care of but it's been a pleasure to have worked on some of the leading names
in music, film and TV over the last few years."
Andrew has regularly appeared
on TV as a guest stylist, from morning shows like GMTV to makeover programmes.
He enjoys the challenge of makeovers and worked on many of The Big Brother2 household
as they were eliminated from the house. On the catwalk he has worked on fashion
shows for Versace, Prada, Calvin Klein and most recently for Central St Martins.
Andrew began his career in the North of England. As head of the Saks Art Team
he has toured the world sharing his ideas and Saks techniques. In his role as
guest artist for L'Oreal Professionel he presents seminars and show worldwide.
The opening of his first salon in Covent Garden is much like a celebrity chef
having his own restaurant. It is a dream come true for Andrew who, with his business
partner, has been looking for the perfect site for over 2 years. "The salon always
had to be in Covent Garden as that's the area of London that captures my spirit."
