Steve Rowbottom Reveals His Top Hair Trends For Spring Summer 2017
Making Waves
The beach wave is, and always will be, a classic look for summer, but S/S17 takes on an edgier feel with lightweight tousled locks out, and wet-look crisp curls in.Take inspiration from Julien Macdonald LFW S/S17 for thick waves with added crunch. Or for that surfs up 70s inspired chic, look to Alexander Wang at NYFW S/S17.
Recreate the beach-ready style by heavily applying L'Oréal Professionnel Tecni ART Wild Stylers Beach Waves styling spray, and scrunch the hair for added texture, until a towel-dried look is achieved.
Finish by pulling Kérastase Styling Baume Double Je through the ends of hair, for added structure, and apply rosy pink shades to the apples of cheeks for true sun-kissed style.
Shopwrecked Beauty
One of the most sought after looks this Spring/Summer is from Anthony Turner for Erdem, whose catwalk creation is perfect for occasions and bridal hair.Emulating a look inspired by a 16th century girl at sea, with wispy, shipwrecked braids, this dishevelled braided bun exudes true romance.
To get the look, prep hair with L'Oreal Professionnel Tecni ART Pli, the thermo modelling spray creates a volumised look and grips hair for a strong up-do hold.
Braid the hair into two pigtails and wrap around each other into a bun for added texture.
Perfect the catwalk style by teasing hair out from around the face and finish with a black bow or alternative hairpiece.
Hair accessories are versatile and big news in 2017, so update with the season's latest hair trimmings and stay on trend right into A/W17.
