The latest Hair Colour Trends for Autumn-Winter
Karen Hyam Co owner of Atelier Hairdressing and Beauty Rooms, in Redbourn, St Albans who formerly worked at the Jo Hansford salons tells us about the latest trending colour services for Autumn.
Balayage
This trend shows no sign of disappearing. The reason for its appeal is that it's a versatile, low-maintenance, colour choice that looks great combined with those natural tones of honey, caramel and creamy blondes.Balayage can be combined with some cleverly placed face framing hi-lights which is another big trend for autumn/winter, flattering most haircuts and giving clients a bespoke colour result, both lifting and brightening the skin tone for the cooler months ahead.
Atelier we offer a colour blending technique that combines a root smudging service with either hi-lights or balayage that gives a low-maintenance, sexy undone colour result.
Ice White Queen
By white we mean those beautifully clear platinum and silvery shades that look so fresh. The fashionable will rock this trend easily this autumn/winter.The tone looks great against darker skin tones for the ultimate contrast or alongside the paler for that gorgeous Nordic look. Word of warning though, this colour is not for the faint-hearted in terms of maintenance. Another great thing about this colour choice is it can allow the wearer a great base to experiment from with the ultra trendy pastel hues.
Apricot
Apricot is set to become a big trend for 2018. Whether you choose more of a rose gold or a punchy peach, there is an apricot tone for most of us.Like with all reds, this tone does require looking after and a colour-safe shampoo and conditioner is the best way to do this at home. Do ask for recommendations for professional hair care to give your colour investment the best chance of longevity.
Be ahead of the pack this autumn/winter and consult your colourist about the newest trend on the block this year - Apricot.
Colourful Hair
What about the more unnatural hues and the perfect pastels? Well if it's good enough for the supermodels, it's definitely a trend we want to try going into 2018. Both Cara Delevigne and Gigi Hadid have been spotted rocking this trend of bright and beautiful hair.Again this trend is one of the more higher-maintenance looks but with all the exciting new tones around the season of charcoal, sage, mauve and raspberry, who cares?
