Glamour Fixes
Glamorous hair doesnt have to be hard work. Luke Benson from D&J; Ambrose shares some quick fixes.
How to … create volume
Blow dry the hair and then use a good dressing brush - like a Mason Pearson - to gently back brush the underneath sections to create added volume and then smooth over the surface layer.
How to ... fake a bob
Celebs like Nicole Scherzinger and Leona Lewis have been rocking this look recently – all you need to do is: back brush sections of hair from the nape of your neck up to the curvature of the head, take the hair above these sections and wrap under, gripping hair at the nape to give illusion of a bob shape.
How to … get great shine
A good blow dry gives the highest shine, but if you are left with static areas that are not reflecting the light well you can smooth over with straightening irons and add a touch of shine spray over the top.
How to … refresh your style
Nothing can be as quick to change your style as introducing a fringe. Whether you go for a strong sharp full fringe or something swept it will instantly change your look and is a great quick fix trick.
How to … fake clean hair
We all know dry shampoo will immediately degrease roots and restore volume, but if you've got a fringe then a quick fringe-only wash will give your whole style a refresh.
How to … go from day to night
Putting your hair up into a style or creating a quick wave will instantly transform your style. Use a large tong or wand like the Cloud 9 Waving Wand and take large sections and wrap hair round the barrel. Either scrunch fingers through for a worn in wave or brush out gently for a more red carpet wave.
How to ... curl long hair quickly
Plan ahead by twisting or plaiting damp hair in the morning and secure with clips, etc. Then for a swift style update after work, simply remove the clips and run your fingers through the resulting waves.
