Tribal London - Get the Look
Darren Fowler, Managing Director of Clipso London is a regular on the fashion scene creating hair styles backstage at London Fashion Week, international advertising campaigns and editorial looks. Here, he shares his views on the 5 ‘hair tribes of London', each tribe represents a popular area in the city that has its own signature style:

Make Up by: Nora Nona
Shoreditch Girl
Who: Usually found lurking around Box Park, your hairstyle is purposeful but put together - the undone top knot is your go-to style.
How:
1. It's important to have some texture in your tresses so start by spraying dry shampoo into your roots and blending into the hair with your fingers.
2. Then, flip your head upside down and gather your tresses into a ponytail on top of your head. Loosely secure with a band into a ponytail.
3. Wrap your ponytail around the loose band and secure with Kirby grips or an elastic. For an even more dishevelled look, tease out small sections.
South East London Girl
Who: Whether you're prancing around Peckham or dining in Dulwich, you like to keep your hair low maintenance and fuss free. Think natural waves and sophisticated plaits.
How:
1.For natural looking waves dampen hair with water or let it semi air dry after washing. Then, roughly part your hair into four sections and keep separated with clips.
2.Spray each section lightly with hair spray.
3. Start twisting your hair in the direction you want your curl to be, the most common is away from your face. Keep twisting until it tightens to the point it starts to spiral on its own.
4.Twist it into a tight bun and pin to secure.
5.Blow-dry your hair until it's dry. The longer you dry it, the tighter your style will be.
6.Unpin your hair and separate the waves using your fingers before scrunching to add some body.
7.Lastly, spritz with a finishing spray to keep your flyways at bay.
West End Girl
Who: You're all about sophisticated chic style and well maintained tresses. With a nod to the SS15 relaxed ponytail trend, hair is usually and pulled back, for an easy yet still indulgent look.
How:
1.Spritz dry hair with L'Oreal Tecni-Art Hot Style Constructor and then tong into large curls, using a ghd Creative Curl Wand.
2.Take the bottom section of your hair and brush back, then secure with an elastic into a low ponytail, leaving the top of the hair untied.
3.Take the top section of your hair and brush back from the sides, wrapping around the bottom elastic before pinning in place
4.Gently pull tendrils of hair out from the front to create a dishevelled, more relaxed look and spray with hairspray.
Camden Girl
Who: Rarely seen without hair extensions, hair is trendy and vibrant to match your style. Double buns are your hair style staple.
How:
1.Start by creating a centre parting
2.Then put your hair up into pigtails, placing them right at the back of your head.
3.Tease the ponytail for extra oomph and spritz with hairspray for texture
4.Then twist your ponytail up and around. Pin your bun in place as well as all stray hairs, repeat on other ponytail
Dalston Girl
Who: You're big on bleach, pastels, worn-out red and hair chalks are you best friend.
How:
1. Start by wetting the hair first so the color will attach to it. However if you're blonde, do not wet the hair before chalking unless you want the color to stay in longer.
2. Apply the chalk to the strand of hair in a downward motion.
3. Seal the colour in with a hairdryer, flat iron or a curling iron to add waves. Apply hair spray as a final step.
