I am a 44 year old male who currently has short hair but would like to grow it long. I do have really thick hair though so what would be the best way to go about it? Do I just not get it cut and let it grow or would I need to get it trimmed and styled regularly? I would like it to be trendy and cut to a long, thick style instead of just a mass of hair.

It depends on your personality, job and look, as long hair can look great with the occasional light trim. However if you�re wanting to keep your hair long, keep it neat and flat around your ears to give an un-kept yet well-groomed look. Alternatively, keep your hair longer and gel it back for a slick backed look.

I wanted to ask for some advice. I have thick highlighted hair which is just below shoulder in length. It is not dry or damaged but can get greasy on scalp. It is dark blonde with light blonde highlights through. I cannot for the life of me find any shampoo or conditioner that work. I just wandered if there was any that could be recommended?

We would never advocate deliberately damaging your hair. Over processed and heavily dyed hair can appear thicker and rougher in texture but you can achieve the same look and feel with the right products. Try a salt spray or volumising products and combine them with a short, textured cut.
