You should stay away from a bleach highlight and make sure they use a warm golden toner on your hair. Mature Grey hair requires more of a deposit of colour and tone as opposed to lifting or bleaching. In terms of selecting the correct tone for you, stay away from ashier colors and toners as mature skin tones need a warmer shade to lift the complexion. Honey and scotch blondes will make your hair look healthier and your skin will benefit too!

There are so many clients that now have the Ombre colour that are now looking for a bit of change, your in luck as you have a couple of options. 1. You could even out your colour to go generally lighter by colouring with conventional highlights and Glaze over the hair to even out the tone. 2. You can also scatter highlights through the top sections to even out slightly but to keep a slight ombre/Balayage effect. At this time of year clients are all looking to richen up their ombre to incorporate more Carmel toffee hues ready for the cold winter evenings.

This is not something I would recommend trying at home. There is a lot of room for error and could result in you having to spend double what it would you to have it done in the salon in the first place to have it put right! I would recommend visiting a salon and having them changing you colour back to an even brunette. This will make you hair super shiny and will give you the chance to build the condition up over a few weeks before re-visiting the salon for them to ombre the lighter shades through the ends. This is a process that I find gets easier every time it is done. It is easier to place the colour exactly where you want it and allows for toning after with the seasons key shades
