The undercut is a style that first emerged in the roaring twenties, and reigned supreme until the forties, when it disappeared without a trace.



The last year however, has seen an incredible resurgence of this dramatically contrasting cut, with everybody from celebrities to the boy next door sporting some kind of variation of the look. The fundamentals of the undercut are a scissor cut top that is at least three grades shorter than the sides, which are disconnected and shortened with a single clipper length.



A versatile style, most men sweep their undercut backwards into a high pompadour, while other chaps expose their parting to create an office appropriate comb-over.
