Rach asks:
I have very fine blonde hair and I have tried so hard to make it look thicker. It's naturally straight – if I curl it the curls only last’s for about an hour. At the moment it's shoulder length with a side sweeping fringe. I lift the roots when I blow dry, I've tried backcombing the crown but I can never give it any height, I've tried using rollers but my hair ends up looking too short. I always use mousse and hairspray but my hair is always left looking limp. How can I get more body without it changing the length?

Try using Joico Joi Whip, it’s like a mousse but thicker and very creamy you don’t need to use a lot when using, and do not over blow your hair when drying. Then use electric rollers and let them cool right down before taking out, then just finger the curls to loosen them up, don’t over work the curls, then use a little hair spray.

I am 15 years old and I really need your help! I have read through all of the queries and I could not find anything that will answer all of my questions. I really hope you can I have longish, (just below the shoulder blades) dark brown hair, it is very thin, and the thing I hate most I HAVE A COWS LICK I absolutely HATE it! I a side fringe, with one layer below my ears, I have a heart shaped face, VERY big cheeks and a pointy chin, I look young when I smile, I also have a big forehead and sometimes it looks like I have a receding hair line because of the cows lick. I would love to do something very different with my hair, without taking much off the length also I have a side parting on the right. I would like to get a fringe and lots of layers but I do not know if the fringe would sit right because of the cows lick some hairdressers say it would part down the middle and others say it would be fine, but I am not to sure!

I guess your cows lick is on the side parting that you wear. It also sounds to me that your side fringe is quite long right now. What I suggest is to go for a long or shorter bob length haircut with lots of layers to give you a great texture and movement - Also have a much shorter and THICKER side fringe that will detract from your high forehead and allow you to have almost a full fringe but you are working with the cows lick instead of against it. This THICKER fringe will also control the cows lick much better. Keep the side parting which always works with a heart shaped face. To detract from your more pointed chin, make sure you have lots of texture and volume above the shoulder area. I do hope this has helped you.

I am 18, and when I was 4 I suffered a scald to my head and it caused the hair to fall out and it will not grow back, the burn is about 3 or 4 cm on my head but I can cover it up with my hair so its unnoticeable, but I am very bored with my short flat style hair and I want to grow it longer in to a style that has more imagination and fell to it, something like this!

Your hair would be perfect for a Blade or razor cut as it is typically known. The reason for this is that, having your hair razored would increase the amount of varied layers within your style, making your hair appear thicker and much easier to manage. The razoring or feathering would make your hair more malleable and allow you more options while styling. It is also a perfect technique if you need to grow your hair slightly longer as it will help stop it parting and becoming heavy which could result in your scald showing.
The picture of Keanu Reeves is a good image and I think that this may indeed work for you. But please ensure you have texture put into your hair otherwise it will become heavy and problematic.
