Interesting fact 1: He worked out for a year with LA boxing trainer Terry Claybon to prepare for his role as boxer Rubin Carter in The Hurricane (2000), lost 60 pounds and spent up to eight or nine hours a day in the gym, learning to throw 80 punches.
Interesting fact 2: Devil in a Blue Dress (1995) was the first film made by Washington's production company, Mundy Lane Entertainment, named after the street he grew up on.
