How to order

There is no need to download any software or apply for membership or any other unnecessary complication to shop with UKhairdressers.com. Simply browse the store and when/if you find what you are looking for click the ‘add to basket’ button on the product page. You can also enter a quantity in the box provided or amend it later in the shopping basket.

What is the shopping basket? The shopping basket is exactly what it sounds like. So that you can make multiple purchases or carry on browsing until you are ready to pay, we provide you with a basket which will store any items you wish to place into it until you are ready to pay.

When viewing the basket you will see a list of all the items that you have added to it whilst browsing the store. You can delete or amend quantities as often as you like until you are happy with the contents. You can also change the delivery method for your items in the basket, for example if you wish your items to be sent Next Day Delivery.

Payment options

When you have finished choosing your purchases it is time to arrange payment. You can either pay online by credit/debit card with our secure 128bit encrypted server or offline by cheque. There are no surcharges for either type of payment.

To make your payment simply click on the CHECKOUT button and fill out the form. These details are for the delivery address and customer details. You will not be asked for any secure information at this point.

If the cardholders details are the same as the delivery details then you can leave this page as it is and just click on proceed to a secure server. If the details are different then you can amend them first on this form and then proceed to a secure server.

When you are happy that the details are correct click on the credit/debit card logo of your choice to proceed.

If you click pay offline then an invoice will appear which you can then print out and use to accompany a cheque (Made payable to UKHairdressers.com) and send them to:

Stock availability

We understand it can be frustrating to see that the item you want to buy is out of stock; however we believe you would want to know that we normally stock that item. You have the option to request an email from us to advise you when the item is back in stock.

Delivery information

We aim to dispatch orders received by 4:00 pm on the same day (Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays), subject to stock levels.

UK delivery and charges

Standard delivery: 1st class via Royal Mail. The estimated delivery time in the UK is 1-2 business days.
Cost: flat rate of £2.95 per order*

Next day delivery: Royal Mail Special Delivery.
Cost for guaranteed next day delivery before 1.00pm: £6.95 per order
Cost for guaranteed next day delivery before 9.00am: £15 per order

International delivery and charges

Standard delivery: Airmail via Royal Mail. Estimated delivery time is 3-7 business days.
Cost: flat rate of £5.95 per order*

Please note, we are not able to send aerosols by Airmail. International customers attempting to buy aerosols will be advised of this issue at checkout.

(*Occasionally we receive very large orders which have to be boxed and sent by courier. In these circumstances the delivery charge may be amended to reflect the courier cost. We will contact you about this before your order is dispatched).

Returns


We hope that you are pleased with your purchase from UKHairdressers.com, however we understand there are occasions when you need to return goods to us.

If you have changed your mind

If you have simply changed your mind about your order and wish to return an item for a refund, you should inform us of this decision within 10 days of receipt of your goods. You should contact us using our online returns form or by email or by telephone.

The item must be un-used and in its original packaging, with any seals intact.

You are required to return the goods at your own expense.

We will refund the cost of the goods and any delivery charges paid at the time of purchase via your original payment method.

How to return an item

If you need to return an item you should follow the steps below:

• Complete our online form or telephone our Customer Services Team to obtain a returns number, which you will need to send with the item. You need to provide your invoice number and the reason for the return at this stage.

• Carefully re-package the goods, using suitable, secure packaging.

• Take the parcel to your local Post Office and request a proof of postage. Without this, you will be unable to make a claim, should the parcel go missing. (Please note: UKHairdressers.com will not be liable for lost returns).

Faulty goods

While our product ranges are of high quality, occasionally an item may be faulty. If your goods are faulty – or develop a fault – you should contact us as soon as possible, using our online form, by email or by telephone. We will then advise you of the next steps.

Take back scheme (WEEE)


Some of the equipment we sell at UKHairdressers.Com has an electrical supply, and is clearly portable. As such this equipment is, at the end of its life, classified as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

When you purchase a ‘like for like’ ukhairdressers.com branded product from ukhairdressers.com, we will accept your old product from you free of charge and organise for it to be recycled.

The procedure could not be simpler. When you receive your new item, unpack it carefully so that you can use the packaging to repack the old item. Contact us, with your purchase details, for example your order number, and we will send you the necessary postage to return the products.

If you are not purchasing a new product please be aware that items of WEEE, which carry the ‘wheelie bin’ symbol, should be properly disposed of to minimise the consequences to the environment. More information on the proper disposal of electrical waste and to identify your nearest recycling facility please visit www.recyclenow.co.uk.

When will my goods arrive?


Goods are usually dispatched on the same day we receive your order, if the products are in stock and your order is received before 4:00 pm (UK time). Your order should usually arrive within 1-3 working days (UK). You can check the status of your order at anytime by going to our delivery page and entering your order number and email address. We will contact you if we cannot dispatch your order within this timescale. Goods being dispatched overseas usually take 5-15 working days.

Do you accept payment by cheque?

Yes. Simply add your items to basket as usual and proceed to the checkout as usual. Fill out your details and proceed. Click Order Offline when given the choice and an invoice will be printed. Sign this invoice and place it in an envelope along with a cheque for the correct amount made payable to UKHairdressers.com and send it to us. Address provided above. Goods will be despatched as soon as we receive your order and you will be notified by email.

How do I find what I am looking for?


There are several methods of finding items in our store:

The left hand menu contains a list of categories. If you wish to buy a hair dryer you can click hair dryers on the left hand menu and you will be shown a page containing all the hair dryers we sell with a small amount of information and a picture for each one. If there are more than 10 results found then you will see page numbers where you can browse page by page all the hair dryers that we sell.

The front page of the store also contains categories where you can click and be taken to a page where you can view the full range in that category.

The menu at the top of the page enables you to search by brand or the key product categories.

Enter search text into the search box provided and a list of all the items that contain the words anywhere in their descriptions will be displayed. ie entering the words hairtools will produce a list of all the items which contain the word hairtools in them.
