Hi,

I was wondering if any of you have used the Adore hair dye from the brand Creative Image. They do a lot of unnatural hair colours like red, purple, blue, pink, etc. I recently bought a bottle of it in a Purple Rage colour shade:

However, I wasn't so sure about whether I should get bleach for it as well as my hair is currently dyed very dark brown/faded black-dark brown hair. I don't want to use bleach or a pre-lightener because they damage hair and make them dry, and I know this from my previous experience when I used a pre-lightener/cream developer when it came already with a bright red dye I used.

I asked a shop owner about the Adore Purple Rage dye, whether it will show up on my hair without bleaching it and he said that bleaching is required for it in order to be vibrant, but then some girl told me it would still show up without bleach. I am kind of confused... I would love to have a purple that's not so bright but not too dark (not so dark that it's only visible in the light) I want it to turn out something like this:

I was thinking about applying a small amount of this dye onto the tips of my hair to see if it would show up. What do you guys think? I felt doubtful this dye not turning out well without bleach because some dyes do actually work very well without it. Also, I think the shop owner didn't really know much about hair dyes and probably encouraged me to buy bleach because he wanted money.

Any hair specialists/enthusiasts that could help me? I would very much appreciate any suggestions. I am desperate to dye my hair purple! :)
