Ive created an easy step-by-step tutorial to show you how to create these gorgeous. bouncy. heatless curls. The best part about this technique is that no expensive tools are necessary - just two pairs of socks! I prefer to do this on hair that is completely dry and not wet from washing. I find that it's less frizzy in the morning that way. I simply add water only where its needed. Wear your curls as they are, down, or style them in a half updo like I did here or here. So, come on! Save your hair from the heat and follow these super easy steps to achieve gorgeous curls in the morning. Below. there's also a Pin-able version of all the steps for you!
Begin with freshly brushed hair. Then section it off, taking the hair at the crown and leaving the sides and nape for later. Use a spray bottle to dampen your hair or run a wet comb through It Take a dean sock and roll your hair around it starting at the ends. Be careful to smooth the ends as you roll so they're folded nicely around the sock and you don't end up with sharp bend lines.
Roll the sock all the way up, stopping just beneath the crown area. Tie the sock in a simple knot to secure the hair in place. Using additional socks. repeat the steps. curling the hair along the nape and sides. I used four socks to do all of my hair, but if you have really thick hair, you can section it off into smaller pieces and use additional socks if need be.
Now its time for bed Sweet dreams!
When you wake up in the morning, your socks will look a little looser, but they should still be tied in place.
Now it's time to untie the socks. It doesn't matter which sock you start with, simply untie all of them and free your hair. Once all the socks are out, turn your head upside down and use your fingers to separate the curls.
Arrange and separate the curls with your fingers. Aren't they amazing? To finish, use some frizz control product to smooth out the curls. I used Moroccan Oikl Frizz Control on my fingertips and ran it through the ends of the hair.
And that's it! Easy, no-heat curls that look unbelievable. Try them tonight!
