Blunt fringe & Bob Step 1

1. Dry Hair Cut Technique
Section hair into two sections, front and back.

Blunt fringe & Bob Step 2

2. Below the occipital bone undercut 2 inches in the nape area using a CHI Texturizing Shear over comb technique. Continue to blend until all hair is even in texture.

3. Drop the back section of hair over the undercut and cut a blunt horizontal line that is shorter in the center, and longer on each side.

Make sure not to hold tension on the hair and let the hair fall naturally.
4. Take a section in the center and texturize hair to desired length to create a guide.

Use vertical sections and texturize hair following previous guide.
5. Following guide from the back perimeter, freehand cut side section shorter to longer towards the face on the left side. Repeat on the right side but leave hair slightly longer for an asymmetrical look.

6. Use vertical sections and simultaneously cut and move fingers towards the ends of the hair using a CHI Texture Shear, continue until you reach the ends. Repeat on the other side.

7. Comb fringe forward and cut a blunt horizontal line bending the shear inward to create a bevel.
8. Blend fringe into the sides by horizontally slide cutting with scissors going from shorter fringe to longer sides.
9. Complete by texturizing the ends of the fringe for softness and to remove excess weight.
