Natural curls are given texture form and femininity with this style. Dressed with unusual accessories the curls are broken up and given interest.

Before

After

Step 1.
Divide off front hair from ear to ear.

Step 2.
Divide back hair into three equal sections.

Step 3.
Secure each ponytail in a band, lifting each up 2-3 cm, as you fasten.

Step 4.
The three ponytails should form a triangle, the middle one being lower and quite close to nape of neck.

Step 5.

Take one ponytail and twist into a coil using a clockwise motion.

Step 6.
Hair will begin to double back on itself.

Step 7.

Secure with a pin and let ends fall. Repeat for other ponytails.

Step 8.
Redefine and smooth curls by tonging each one.

Step 9.
Shows tonged curls. Repeat for rest of back hair.

Step 10.
Mist with hairspray to hold re-formed curls.

Step 11.
Section off one third of front hair and twist in a clockwise direction to form a coil as before.

Step 12.
Repeat with other two sections and pin in place allowing tendrils of curls to fall.

Step 13.
Shows completed coils. Now arrange curls to create a halo effect.

Step 14.
Accessorise with pearl-tipped pins.

TOP TIP: Long, curly hair can look wild and unruly. By twisting into coils, weight is removed and hair looks more defined and elegant.
