Simple Fishtail Braid
Creating the perfect fishtail braid is not quite as tricky as you may think.Session stylist Andrew Smith shows you how to do a fishtail plait in this simple step by step 2 minute video tutorial.
On first glance, you may feel that the ethereal and intricate fishtail braid would be difficult to recreate when in fact, this pretty and effortless plait is incredibly easy to achieve.

Step By Step :
1/. Split the hair into two sections
2/. Take a fine piece of hair from one section and bring it over and then a fine piece of hair from the other section and bring it across.
3/. Repeat this all the way down to the end of the hair.
4/. Keep sections very fine to ensure the fishtail effect. (larger sections make it look more like a normal plait or braid).
5/. Loosen the plait gently to define the fishtail look.
6/. Tie with a band.
7/. Leave a small amount of hair out around the hair line to ensure a super-feminine, soft and effortless style.
8/. Spritz with dry, strong hold hair spray to control all the fly-away bits.
