Glamour
Step into Spring Summer with subtle radiance. For your softer
side we have tones with a bamboo essence, creating cedar wood
brunettes, tea rose and coffee crème.
Blondes! We have nutmeg, crème caramel and liquid cream. For
your bolder side we have ice cream pastels with mint, bitter
lemon, glacier blue and rose pink.
Your colourist will layer it up creating block layers or all
over one colour for true tone.
Inspired by the catwalks and glamorous screen icons our aim
was to achieve voluminous beautiful styles combined with bang
on-trend colour.
Last winter we saw ‘Antique Rose’ colour take off in a big
way and this season we are seeing lots of very clean blondes,
even a minky colour to the hair with powder pastel flashes.
The team wanted to take the hair colour away from the overdone
dip dye look and transform the adventurous pastel shades spread
across the catwalk into elegant wearable tones.
The technique involved slices of pastel colours to suit each
skin tone placed underneath and around the face – secret placements.
Brooks+Brooks want women to step in Spring-Summer with subtle
radiance.
Strawberry Shortcake
Colour: Super pale, clear crystal highlights were placed
throughout and then underneath, at the ends and around the
face hints of Parma violet, sugar almond pink zing out in
a pointillist technique – where the dynamic between two complimentary
colours brings an intensity that could not be achieved with
one shade alone.
Styling: Blowdry using a paddle brush. Set hair on
medium sized heated rollers and leave until completely cool.
Brush through lightly and hold with a mist of hairspray.
Butterscotch
Cream
Colour: Deep panels of intense gold and biscuit shades
have been placed in and around the hair to suit the line of
the cut. Around the base softer and cooler tones have been
added to create the overall shimmering butterscotch effect.
Styling:
Prep hair with mousse or a volumising lotion. Our favourite
is L’Oreal Tecni-Art full volume mousse. Then smooth hair
with a round brush. Part hair into a deep side parting using
a tail comb. Curl hair all over using large tongs.
Pro tip: Spray each section with hairspray before you
tong for hold and shine. Clip each section in place and allow
to cool. Brush out with a smoothing bristle brush to create
your shape.
Apricot Pastille
Colour: A pale base colour was infused with spicy tones
and layered with burnt caramel and warm tones.
Styling: Blowdry hair smooth with a smoothing crème,
for a mirror like shine use a natural bristle brush. We love
Bumble and Bumble’s Straight product to tame flyaways and
add shine. Insert this season’s masculine deep side parting
with a tail comb.
Salt Liquorice
Colour: This look is saturated with intense bittersweet
chocolate tones and resonates with hints of liquorice, mauve
and brown.
Styling: Prep hair with a volumising spray, we love
Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray. Blowdry with lots of volume
and brush your fringe forward. Using large heated rollers
place them going forward coming from your crown down your
head. Let them cool and then remove. Use your fingers to massage
your roots to get volume and the shape.
Pro tip: Spray hairspray on your fingertips just before
you massage the roots for all night hold.
Rose & Violet Marshmallow
Colour: The base was Pre-lightened to a pale yellow
and toned with a marshmallow shade. Hints of delicate pink
were smudged around the hairline in a softly blended pastel
technique.
Styling: Ask your stylist for a wide fringe going towards
your temples whilst maintaining a soft textured outline. By
creating a right angle framing your eyes we give added definition
and drama to cheekbones. Create smooth shine with a soft moulding
crème – our current favourite is Kevin Murphy Easy Rider.
