Style junkie Christina rocked the red carpet at the MTV Movie
Awards this week with her edgy up do. Her style combines the
classic chignon ‘French Roll’ with a twist.
• For this style, enhance your hair’s shine with a good shampoo,
conditioner and shine spray (e.g. Neäl
& Wølf Ritual Daily Cleansing Shampoo & Conditioner
and Neäl
& Wølf Glow Super Shine Spray )
•
Before drying, apply a golf ball sized amount of strong
hold mousse (e.g. Davines
Defining Volume Mousse) through your hair
from root to tips and comb it through.
• Separate the left and right side of hair from the
top. Simply use the middle of your eyebrows as a guide
and part the top section of hair away. Hold out of place
with a clip (e.g. FHI
Heat T-Rex Clip). |

|
• With the two remaining sides comb back to the centres of
your head. Ensure you use HEMP
Styling and Nutritive Crème Gel to keep it sleek.
• If you’re doing this style to yourself, here’s a little
cheat (or shortcut!) to a French Roll. Tie the hair into a
loose band. Pull about four inches down the hair then lift
and begin to twist. Keep twisting and lifting until the band
comes to the ends of your ponytail and the hair is against
your head. Now you should have a perfect French Roll on the
back of your head.
• With the remaining hair on your crown, use shine spray and
pull it straight up. Keeping it up, hold the ends together
and begin to slowly roll it toward your head. Keep it loose
depending on how you like the ‘roll’ to look. Hide the grips
by pinning underneath your roll and inside.
• Ensure the top and back are blended nicely.
• Finally, spritz with hairspray (Neäl
& Wølf Fix Hold & Shine Spray 250ml).
• Why not jazz it up with some hair jewellery or flowers.
