| Oscar de la Renta wants to dress Michelle Obama.
The designer has created looks for every US First Lady over the last 50 years except for President Barack Obama’s wife, and believes he deserves a shot at the coveted high-profile gig.
Speaking on CBS’ ’This Morning’, Oscar said: "I would love to dress Mrs. Obama. I think she’s a very stylish lady. I’ve seen that there’s a lot of young designers that deserve that chance.
"You know, only in this country do we pay so much attention to what the first lady wears. Only in this country does the first lady have such a public image about what she does. It doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world."
The 81-year-old designer also discussed fashion’s most controversial star, disgraced former Dior creative director John Galliano, whose career was shattered last year when he was caught on camera making anti-Semitic remarks.

 | David Beckham strips off in the advert for his new men’s fragrance.
The ex-soccer star gives us a glimpse of his famously athletic body in the new video for the forthcoming David Beckham Classic perfume, which he posted on his YouTube channel with the message, "Hope you all like it."
The advert shows David walking into his dressing room wearing a casual T-shirt before pulling it off to reveal his tattooed torso. He then pouts in the mirror while examining his reflection and puts on a crisp white shirt.
A butler, who is helping the star with his dinner jacket, asks, "Can I be of further assistance, sir?"
The hunk replies: "I have all I need," as he spritzes himself with the fragrance.
As David heads out the voiceover tells the fans to "revise your classics."
This is the star’s latest in a string of fragrances, including Instinct, Homme, Signature and Intimately.

The Chanel mastermind is the focus of a four-hour German biopic about his life and career, ’Mode Als Religion’ (Fashion as a Religion), which presents the eccentric designer as a figure to be revered, likens fashion magazine to the Bible and compares models to angels.
Martina Neuen, the Cologne-based television journalist behind the film, told WWD: "It’s a bit tongue-in-cheek. It cannot offer you redemption or anything eternal."
The project strives to prove that fashion and religion are similar, using powerful symbols and a system of beliefs to bind people together, and Martina even oversees a scientific experiment to compare the brains of a Catholic priest and a devoted fashionista.
She insisted: "The emotional reactions are the same."

| Dolce & Gabbana could be forced to shut down.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana may have to put an end to their eponymous label if they are pushed to pay out the hefty €343.3 million (£296.1 million) in fines they have acquired from tax evasion.
Dolce said: "We will close. What do you want us to do? We will close. We will not be able to deal with it. It’s impossible.
Gabbana added: "If we deserved the sentence, there would be nothing to say. But we do not deserve it, and so unfortunately we would have to close."
The designer pair - who were sentenced to 20 months imprisonment as well as being slapped with a nasty fine after they were accused of evasions of up to €400 million (£345.2 million) - recently shut down all nine of their Milan stores after the city’s mayor, Giuliano Pisapia, banned the duo from Milian’s communal spaces due to their alleged crimes.

The 21-year-old singer prefers to turn a blind eye when it comes to the dresses designers lend her for big events because it would make her nervous to know their real price tags.
She laughed: "I don’t even want to know how much they usually cost, but it’s been really fun for me to dress up and get to meet different designers. I don’t think I could ever actually purchase a huge gown unless it’s my wedding dress!"

The 30-year-old supermodel is extremely particular about making sure her shiny brown tresses look good at all times and has a strict shower regime, which includes using coconut oil and conditioner, to perfect her look.
She said: "Hair-wise, I love using coconut oil as a treatment and apple cider vinegar for shininess. You put on a little bit in the shower as a rinse and then wash it out. It stinks a little, but then you use conditioner and the smell goes away. I’m obsessed with having clean hair."
The Victoria’s Secret beauty - who is married to ’Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor Orlando Bloom - is equally passionate about staying healthy and even has plants in her home that "purify" the air.

The British brand has created a "day wear version" of the iconic blue wrap dress, which sold out in record time after the 31-year-old royal wore it during her engagement announcement to Prince William in 2010.
The budget-friendly dress, made from jersey material, comes in both blue and plum. It carries the same wrap waist and ruched detailing as the original, while another similar style features short sleeves and a deep V-neck.
