| Roland Mouret has created an exclusive capsule collection for Liberty
The designer has collaborated with the famous London store on a new range
in celebration of the launch of his new dedicated in-store space - the
Roland Mouret Corner.
Liberty managing director Ed Burstell said: "Roland is a renaissance man and we were having discussions and brainstorming all the different collaborative projects we could work together on in the future. This made sense to be the first and we hope it’s the first of many more and varied categories."
The new space features vintage furniture, a bespoke rug and custom-made rails housing the designer’s latest collections, while the new capsule range comprises four elegant dresses in two colours, teal and electric blue.
Ed added: "Our in-store world of Roland represents a pure, classic aesthetic with a slightly eccentric twist - slightly surprising but utterly modern.

| Roland Mouret’s ’first love’ was shoes.
The French designer - whose clothes are worn by Victoria Beckham and Scarlett Johansson - admits he was into footwear before he was into dresses.
He said: "For me, shoes were my beginning. They were my first love in fashion, long before I commenced designing dresses.
"When a woman wakes up in the morning, she slips into her fitted dress, she tousles her hair, and she puts on her shoes. Et voilà: this is all she needs. Although I do like a strong, red lip too."
Roland believes footwear can allow a woman to be anyone she wants and attract anyone she wants too.
Writing in the Daily Telegraph, he said: "Shoes can be part of the sensuality and the sexuality of a woman. Not only this, they can allow a woman to inhabit different identities - and even help her to adopt a different character, should she desire it. Because shoes can change you.
"First, the shape, height ... [more] |

"As an avid collector and admirer of the arts, it is a true pleasure to merge two of my passions - I am thrilled to be providing my signature pieces."

| Roland Mouret wanted to work alongside Britain’s Duchess Catherine to create her raciest dress so far
The French fashion designer believes he did "quite well" to come up with the brunette royal’s most daring gown to date, a full-length cream evening dress featuring a front split, which she wore to a dinner at luxury hotel Claridge’s in London’s Mayfair last month.
He said: "I think it was quite fantastic that there was a split up the front. That picture of a woman when you catch a little of the leg, that’s what you want to see.
"It was not too much. It was with a lot of respect. Yes, I think I did... quite well."
Roland - who has previously worked with Victoria Beckham - found the duchess to be "fantastic" to collaborate with and he was honoured to be able to design clothes for a member of Britain’s royal family.
He added to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "She’s a fantastic person to work with. She... [more] |
