Fan Bing Bing

CANNES Festival outdid itself in the style stakes this year with every actress and actor looking more glamorous than the next.

ACTRESS and singer Fan Bing Bing also went for a hair-up do which topped off her purple ensemble beautifully.

• This style works best on day old hair, if you feel like you want a freshen up, spritz some dry shampoo on before you start.
• Going from the left or right (depending on where you like your parting) start French plaiting. Fan has opted for the classic French plait but you could go for the 'upside down' plait. Just plait under each strand not over.

• Continue around the front down the sides. With the remaining hair you can either plait another section next to the first or curl it all and pin up at the back, high on the crown.
