Jennifer Lopez
This week we look at easy-to-do hot summer styles that will
keep you looking and feeling cool.
Jennifer Lopez attended a wedding at a swanky Bel-Air mansion
with Marc Anthony recently sporting a very cool, slicked back
ponytail. This style is perfect whether you're out dancing
the night away or to dress up a beach outfit.
It is best to wash, condition and blow dry your hair
a day before doing this style. It just works better
and you don't have to worry about static or fly-away
pieces.
Using a heat protection spray, such as Juuce
Damn Straight, straighten your hair. A good tip
here is to slightly spray water on your hair first and
comb through. |
|
|
It gives your hair even more protection and the water stops
it overheating. Just think, you wouldn't iron a cotton shirt
completely dry!
Ensure it's completely straight and then apply some
shine and smooth serum, such as Revlon
Pro You Serum Shine , with your fingertips from root to
tip.
Don't worry about using it on your roots, a small 'wet
look' is what we want here - but not too much. You don't want
to look too 90s!
Now, tilt your head over but not totally upside down
and gather all your hair at the bottom of your crown.
Use a paddle brush for an even smoother finish, just
like the chart-topper.
To get the curl at the bottom of your ponytail, if
you have medium to fine hair, clamp your straightener half
way down the ponytail, twist 90º and slowly pull it towards
the ends. If your hair is thicker, use a medium or large velcro
roller, damp the ends and roll half-way up. Use a gel spray,
such as Alterna Life Volumising Spray
Gel, and blast with a hot setting on your hairdryer for
a minute. Wait for it to curl and unroll.
To finish this style off, grab a small section of hair
from your ponytail, wrap it around your band and secure.
