Jennifer Love Hewitt

THE GLAMOROUS Golden Globes Awards was a stage for a host of gorgeous dresses and gowns - but it was the hair that really stood out to us at UK Hairdresser Towers.

Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt arrived at the 68th annual awards, held at The Beverly Hilton hotel with a statement up do.

• To perfect this bun, wash and blow dry your hair - keeping lots of volume.

• Spray a firm hold gel or hairspray (e.g Revlon Pro You Extreme Hairspray) all over and roughly brush through with a wide tooth comb. This just ensures the product is evenly dispersed from root to tip.

• Gather all your hair up and tip your head upside down. I find that doing that just gives you a nice height.

• Scoop your hair and tie into a band. (This is a much more secure way of doing this bun - it allows you to do a Beyonce on the dance floor without worrying about your hair falling out!)

• Depending on how thick your hair is here, you can either wrap your hair around the bobble, twisting as you go, and secure with pins, or if your hair is fine, invest in a sponge bun. They retail at around £5 - £10.

• With the sponge bun, slightly backcomb each section before you wrap it around and secure.

• Finish with some firm hold spray.
