Kimberley Walsh

The women were out in force at this year's Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards but Kimberley Walsh's retro style really stood out.

• This 'retro curl' looks best with your hair up. You can either pull your hair into a loose bun or chignon, for more special occasions.

• Choose a section of hair from the side and front of your head. Slightly damp it down and, using velcro rollers, use a large size roller at the root and roll towards your head.

• Spray with firm hold gel spray (e.g. Alterna Life Volumising Spray Gel) and blow dry. Then leave it to cool.

• Once it's cooled, undo the roller, taking care not to pull the hair too tight. For an extra bit of 'oomph' on your curl you can use straighteners to bend it even more.

• Now, spray with firm hold hairspray (e.g. Hair Jamm Juuce Rise n Shine Spray) and clip if necessary.
