I’ll show you step-by-step how to achieve the most talked about celebrity hairstyles from glamourous red carpet updos to the hottest catwalk trends...........

Lea Michele

Glee star Lea Michele hits the top notes as the show's loveable geek Rachel. Her fabulous and glamorous up-do also hits the height notes in the style stakes at a Fox event in New York.
When you wash your hair use volumising products like L'anza Volume Shampoo and Conditioner.

• While it's still damp use a light mousse (e.g. Davines Defining Volume mousse) and brush through to ensure even distribution.

• This style will work really well if you get as much volume at the root as possible. If you have longer hair (past your shoulders) forget the rounded brush for blow-drying - just tip your head upside down and blast from the roots.

• For shorter hair - use your rounded brush (e.g. Corioliss The Brush) and get as much volume as possible

- don't 'drag' your brush through your hair.

• The Babyliss Pro PowerLite dryer is perfect - you can use the cool shot to set the lift and the concentrator nozzle to get to the root.

• Now tame that volume by using Therapi Shaper Styling Creme, rub it in the palm of your hands until it's warm and work it through and brush gently - keeping the volume - with a soft bristle brush.

• Pull all your hair in to a high ponytail. If you don't want to make a bold statement you can lower it slightly.

• If you have a fringe, leave it out of the ponytail, if not - it's decision time here. You can gather all your hair in to the ponytail or for a softer look, pull some loose tendrils of hair from around your ears.

• Split your pony tail in half - clipping away the top section.

• With the remaining hair, lightly back comb through, repeating with the top half.

• Now spritz with hairspray Alterna Life Volumising Spray Mousse which helps create precise volume at the base of the hair while providing a flexible hold. Comb it all together with a soft bristle brush. (If you haven't invested in a bristle brush you can use a paddle brush but very lightly)

• Hold the ponytail in your hand at the top near the hair band and, while sliding down the hair, loosely twist it.

• When you get to the bottom of the hair start twisting it around the band to form the bun. Clip the ends under the bun. It's worth adding a few grips around the bun to ensure it stays in place.

• If you have thin hair don't fret. You can buy a sponge ring and do the same steps. When you get to the bun, just pull your ponytail through the ring and clip your hair around it. A perfect look without extensions.

• For those who have a fringe, dampen it again with some water and use a large rounded barrel brush to blow-dry it. The bigger, the better.

• Finally, finish your Gleek look off with some shine spray (e.g. Neäl & Wølf Glow Super Shine Spray) and you're ready to perform.
