Michelle Keegan

GET your shower caps and loofahs at the ready for this week's soap themed styles!
Whether they were celebrating or commiserating at the National Television Awards, the ladies of television land did it with style - and gorgeous locks.

Michelle Keegan (Tina from Coronation Street) made the most of her long brown, shiny hair by opting for a half pin up do.

• After washing and blow drying apply some heat protection serum such as FHI Hot Sauce. This is a must when you're using hot tongs on a style like this.

• Starting from the back, taking one inch sections tong your hair either with straighteners or tongs (the Babyliss Pro Conical Wand would be perfect for this!).

• After each section it's important to spray generously with a firm hold - but not sticky - hairspray such as Revlon Pro You Extreme Hairspray.

• You can make this style your own - either pin half of it to the side or in the middle.

• When you've decided, take half of the top section from your crown and back comb each row. If you want more volume ensure you backcomb several times at the root.

• Holding your head firm - lightly brush the backcombed section back one by one and secure with grips.

• Using some wax (such as Revlon Curl Definition Wax ), put a small amount in your hands, rub together until it turns clear in your hands and 'scrunch' through your curls.
