Whether they were celebrating or commiserating at the National Television Awards, the ladies of television land did it with style - and gorgeous locks.

Sacha Parkinson (Sian from Coronation Street) married up classical with a modern twist with her side French twist style.

• This style is simple to do but looks impressive. • Pull down sections of your hair around your face and curl - This is the 'classical' part of your look. • Now, gather the rest of your hair at the bottom of the nape of your neck. Pull to the left or right. If you are right handed I'd say go for the left and vise versa.

• Lift your hair up around the height of your ears and begin twisting (similar to when you twist it into a bun)

• Secure with grips and spray in place using Neal & Wolf Fix Hold & Shine Spray. You can also tease some tendrils out from the roll if you want a messier look. This style is great for showing off your fancy earrings!
