ANDREW COLLINGE
As one of the most highly respected figures in hairdressing
today, Andrew Collinge has enjoyed a diverse and far reaching
career. His unrivalled international reputation within
the hair industry is one of talent, professionalism and
success.
Twice British Hairdresser of the Year (`93 and `97) with
25 years of hairdressing expertise to draw upon, Andrew
knows and understands hair.
1999 sees Andrew once again nominated for British Hairdresser
of the Year.
From
a long line of hairdressers, (his father and his grandfather
befor him) Andrew Collinge has become an industry spokesperson
with regular TV and magazine makeover appearances.
He was the youngest ever president of the Fellowship for
British Hairdressing and has more recently become the
first president of HABIA, the government approved Hair
& Beauty Industry Authority.

With 9 salons, the Harrods Makeover Studio and the Academy of
Hairdressing to his name, Andrew is responsible for running
one of the largest private hairdressing training organisations
in the country
Present Day - There are now six Andrew Collinge salons,
two Graduate salons, two training salons and an Academy in the
North West. The training division under the direction of Andrews
sister Sarah Collinge has an enviable reputation. With over
200 trainees the company recently received 'Beacon Status' from
the Government for setting the benchmark for hairdressing training.
The company has twice received Grade 1 for hairdressing from
the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI), the company also has
IIP status.
In 1993 Andrew Collinge Salon Solutions haircare products were
launched. The brand has gone from strength to strength with
sub ranges such as 'perfect endings', 'simply no frizz', 'blonde'
and 'weightless volume', making it one of the fastest growing
designer lines in the UK for 2005. The products are also available
in Australia and New Zealand where they enjoy a large distribution.
2001 saw the launch of the Andrew Collinge electrical haircare
range. There is now a large selection of first class styling
products which are available are Argos, Boots, Superdrug and
other retail outlets. Like the haircare products the brand is
showing strong growth and recently launched two new products,
Masterclass 'Total Shine' and 'Total Curls'.
