Irene Rosenfeld
Irene Blecker Rosenfeld is the current Chairman and CEO of Mondelēz International from March 2007. She was born May 3 1953.
Irene was born in Westbury, New York into a Jewish family, she attended W. Tresper Clarke High School in Westbury, New York and holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and Statistics, a Master of Science and Business and a B.A degree in Psychology from Cornell University.
Irene has been involved in the food and beverage industry for about 30 years. Her career started with a job at Dancer Fitzgerald Sample advertising agency in New York; later on she then joined General Foods in consumer research. Over the years, she advanced in a variety of leaderships roles at Kraft.
Irene was appointed Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of Frito-Lay, a division of PepsiCo in 2004; she focused on promoting healthy products.
Irene is in a number of industry and community organizations, this includes the Economic Club of Chicago.
