Celebrity Hair Shock of the Year! Emma Watson's pixie crop

Mark Woolley, top London stylist, comments on the hair-do everyone's talking about

"Emma Watson's new super short pixie crop is perfection. It's cute, playful and a touch rebellious and has totally updated her style. The soft layers in Emma's hair emphasise her pretty, delicate features beautifully. Channelling the look of the Sixties, she's clearly leading the way with a style which will be one of the biggest hair trends this Autumn/Winter."

Celebrity Stylist Mark Woolley, founder of Electric Hairdressing London advises how you can achieve the look at home (with long or short hair!)

Get the Look
Step one: Apply a blow dry product like Kerastase Ciment Thermique to damp hair from root to tip and rough dry.

Step two: If you have longer hair, dry the back and sweep into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck. Twist and upturn to create a twist with the hairs ends at the top and pin.

Step three: Grab the 'peekaboo fringe' and sweep with hands, pushing the hair to one side (in this instance hands work better than a brush to create less structure) blow drying as you go until completely dry.

Step four: finish with a serum such as Shu Uemura Art of Hair Camelia Silk Oil Smoothing Fluid.
