LIZ HURLEY

THE HAY DIET
BEFORE she fell pregnant with her first child, Liz was a fan of the Hay Diet which is also known as the Food Combining Diet.

WHAT THE DIET MEANS

It works on the principle that the body digests carbohydrates and proteins in different ways, so they should never be eaten together in the same meal. The idea is that eating in this way maximises the body's digestive powers while minimising its fat storing habits.

DAILY MENU

Breakfast: Boiled egg and a low-fat yoghurt.

Lunch: Grilled chicken breast with steamed vegetables.

Dinner: Jacket potato with baked beans and a mixed salad.

Find your ideal weight

WANT to know how much you should weigh?

Then use our great new height / weight calculator.

It's a simple way to find out if you've been piling on the pounds - or whether you're slim and trim.

Just find your height on the bottom of the table and your weight on the left hand side.

Then follow the lines upwards and across, and the point where they meet is your ideal weight.

If the lines meet within the red band then you are in the ideal range for your height.

If they meet in the orange band it shows you are overweight and the green band means you weigh less than you should.

There are separate charts for men and women, based on Body Mass Index (BMI).
