REVIEW: HAIRMAX LASER COMB
|
Included
in TIME Magazine's "Inventions of the Year" (Dec 2000)
|
For
many years, leading hair clinics around the world
have been using 'PhotoTherapy' laser technology also
referred to as Low-Level Laser Therapy to treat thousands
of customers suffering from hair loss. These expensive
and time consuming courses of treatment were the only
option for hair loss sufferers, until the demand for
something more accessible was met by the Lexington
company. They produced the Hairmax Laser Combs, which
are portable devices that can be used in the privacy
of your own home and cost considerably less than a
series of appointments at specialist clinics.
The
Follicle Five
The US "Dateline NBC" conducted a six month trial
with a volunteer, who used the LaserComb regularly
for 6 months and showed "Substantial" hair growth
on the crown of his head, according to the dermatologist
overseeing the test. George was one of the "Follicle
Five", who each tried different products to encourage
hair growth. He regularly uses his laser comb and
says he has noticed a difference. Dr. Paolo Romanelli,
a professor with the University of Miami's Dermatology
Department, who did not know what each of the volunteers
was using, felt George had good results.

Dr.
Romanelli: "I think he had some substantial results.
I see some new follicles. New hair follicles in the
crown. I think the results were very encouraging."

The Laser combs require only a 10-15 minute treatment
time, three times a week to achieve the best results.

results they see within the initial 3 to 6 months
of use. They are designed to fit the hand like a brush
and can be used by men and women. The original version
also has a beep feature incorporated, to let the user
know when it is time to move it.
Increases
Shine, Improves Hair Condition, Safe
The HairMax LaserComb uses a patented technology to
part the hair, so the focused laser energy can reach
the scalp. For over 20 years, Lexington have been
at the forefront of laser hair growth research. They
have found the optimal wavelength and energy level
needed to produce maximum results. Designed and developed
in Australia, it is manufactured in the USA under
strict quality standards and complies with USA FDA
CDRH laser product safety standards, section 21
It has also been shown to improve hair condition,
increase hair shine, bounce and manageability. May
reduce dandruff and scalp itch. The LaserComb can
be used worldwide, designed to be equipped with interchangeable
power transformers.

Positive
Scientific Studies
There have been over 3,500 positive scientific studies
of Laser PhotoTherapy (Low Level Laser Therapy) published
internationally to date. In 2003, an independent report
by the Hair and Scalp Clinic of Clearwater, Florida,
was published in a peer reviewed medical journal.
This landmark study demonstrated the correlation between
LaserComb use and positive benefits to users.
