Having well groomed eyebrows enhance your beauty, adding definition to your face.
Having a few strays here and there can be pretty annoying, here are some useful tips when it comes to taking care of those brows and a variety of ways to remove eye brow hair… so pay attention.
Grooming the brows…
If you have never tweezed your eyebrows before see a professional
When you come to tweeze your eyebrows tweeze them before bedtime so any redness will disappear overnight
Before tweezing the brows wipe a cotton pad which has been soaked in astringent, the cooling affect will make the skin numb
Never remove the hairs from above your eyebrow only tweeze between the brows and any stragglers
Tweeze the direction of the hair growth
Use tweezers which grip the hairs easily
Avoid over tweezing
You can also tweeze immediately after showering or apply a warm cloth on the area to loosen the hair follicles
Too smooth eyebrows out use a moisturizer
Start off underneath the brow first when tweezing
Use an eyelash comb upwards and trim any hairs that extend
Brows should be two shades lighter than your hair colour
Use eye shadow instead of eye pencil
Never shave your eyebrows
Removing… Which One to Choose
Tweezing: If you have a few stray hairs tweezing is the best way to remove those hairs, tweezers grasp the hair one at a time. It's not a good choice if you want to remove a lot of hairs, remember to tweeze after showering when your pores are enlarged this will make the hair glide out a lot easier.
Waxing: Waxing is the best way to remove eyebrow hairs if you want quite a lot of hair removed. It can last up to 3 to 4 weeks, it requires a thin strip of melted wax being placed along the area of hair. The strip is quickly removed taking the hair with it leaving you with a clean shaped eyebrow.
Threading: This is an ancient tradition of removing the hair, it is twisted around the hairs on the eyebrow. Then, the thread is pulled sharply, and every eyebrow hair attached is removed. The result is a very straight line, the hair is removed from the follicle so results can last up to a few weeks |
