Hot Summer Trends
 OK – we’ve been wowed by some of the styles at the Oscars and as spring is officially in the air (a white one for some of us!) Now is the time to let you in on some of the hot summer trends.
At UKhairdressers.com HQ we’re all very excited about the new LOB – yup, the LOB. It’s THE style for SS13. Already we’ve seen Cheryl Cole sporting the sexy new do, and my clients are getting the same.
Now – if you are a hair chameleon you just want to ask your stylist for a long bob – keep the lines clean and straight. You can include an invert if you want to but it’s all about the straight lines.
This style is perfect if you’re growing out your Victoria Beckham inspired inverted bob and are not sure what style you should go for. Also, if you’re stepping away from layers and growing your hair into one length – this spices up your style without compromising on length and shape.
It can look stunning sleeked out with some shine spray or for a glamorous evening look – or just use your straighteners to add some loose waves for that ‘just got out of bed’ look.
If you’re scissor shy and do fancy a change without the chop – you can ask your stylist to create a FOB – a faux bob.
This style again works great with curly or straight hair. Try it at home by sectioning the hair on the back of your head. Begin at the nape of the neck – take one inch sections andlightly back brush. Then section by section, roll your hair under and secure with a grip. It doesn’t have to look too perfect because it gives your style texture and movement. Blend it in with the side sections, mist some firm hold spray and voila – you’re wearing the new faux bob!
