Instant hair!

IF you long for long locks or dream of the thick, volumous hair of Cheryl Cole then there’s an easier – and much quicker way to do it.

Hair extensions are everywhere today. I would say they are one of the most wanted hair accessories out there. Countless clients come into the salon craving for thicker hair or longer hair and want it instantly. Many of them don’t realise that most of the celebrities with sought after hair actually have a helping hand from hair extensions.

We are so lucky that good quality hair extensions are now available so easily to us and they have advanced so much over the past 30 years, thankfully! You can go to any specialist salon and get a professional consultation or to your local beauty warehouse and ask staff – or your hairdresser – for tips and advice. Obviously it’s really important that you get it done correctly.

You don’t have to spend a small fortune either now with clip in ponytails, buns and even chignons on the market. There are even so many colours to choose from so if you’re a little frightened of experimenting with some dip dye or splashed of colour – just buy a hair piece. Hair extensions can be made from either real hair or synthetic, depending on your needs, budget and hair type or texture.

If you do have human hair it’s important to look after them – as you do your own hair. Just think, the better you look after them the longer they will last! You should aim to wash and condition them every other day then just style them how you would your own hair. Always focus on conditioner – it’s vital as the extensions don’t get the natural oils from your scalp.

Always use a soft bristle brush and, as you should do with your own hair, brush from the ends and work your way up. Have fun and experiment with clip-on extensions first and transform your look, there’s a hair extension or piece out there suited to everyone.
