We interviewed Sue Permberton from Sue Pemberton
What was your inspiration for the salon?
I don’t work in a salon, but have half my career and the other half I travel worldwide doing photo shoots, shows and train a global artistic team for JOICO International.
Who is your role model?
Artist Claude Monet I love his use of color and texture, Fashion Designer Alexander McQueen.
Best moment? (customer base/ award winning/ promotion/ messages/recommendation)?
Winning North American Hairstyling Awards Hair Color Category 2007 & 2013
Funniest hairdressing moment?
Lot’s of them but funniest.. Being on stage doing a hair show and the backdrop falls down behind you and you can’t stop laughing because you are suppose to carry on but you can’t for laughing.
Best piece of advice anyone has ever given you?
My Father, said make sure you love what you do, since you work 8-10 hours then sleep 8 hours so most of your life is working and sleeping and if you enjoy your work it will not feel like work.
Whats the most important quality you look for in someone joining your team?
Talent, team player & personality.
What would you like to be known for?
My work, compassion and passion for the industry and sharing my knowledge and helping stylist & Educators become inspired, motivated and educated so they can elevate their work in the salon or from platform and increase their haircolor business.
What couldn't you live without?
People, Hair color, Computer.
