Have you
heard the buzz about Myface? We love
the simplicity of this new makeup range,
loved by Cheryl Cole, Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer and many more top celebs.
Based on the simple principal that rather
than just choosing colours that you like,
you should be choosing colours to suit your
skin tone.
Myface have put together groups of colours
to take the guess work out of choosing make-up.
Put together by professional make-up artists
the colour groups are ideal if you are just
starting with make-up or have lost your
way a bit when choosing colours.
The lipsticks and lip glosses are particular
favourites, not just with us, but with top
celebrities, including Lulu, as they are
beautiful neutrals that genuinely do work
superbly with your own skin tone.
Myface aim to give a gorgeous natural look
to the skin with their foundations and blushers
which although they feel light they do give
full coverage.
The gorgeous eye shadows give a lovely sheen
– far more flattering to most of us than
full on glitter and really enhance the shape
of the eye. Give it a try, we think you’ll
love it!
If you weren’t blessed with beautiful long
curly dark lashes
then don’t despair, there are some fabulous
fakes on the market at the moment that are
so realistic. Gone are the days when fake
lashes looked exactly like that – fake!
Although there is a trend amongst the young
for wearing huge gi-normous lashes, if you’re
after a more believable but beautiful effect
then we are really impressed with Eyelure
Naturalites available at Boots (around £5.35).
They really do look so realistic no-one
will know they are not your own. They open
the eye up beautifully and really enhance
any eye make-up look.
You may not want to apply them for every
day, but if you have a special event to
go to or you know that photos are on the
agenda they’re well worth a try.
It’s
wonderful to see all the peachy colours
around at the moment. Peach seems to have
been out of favour for a little while but
wow, is it back with a bang!
With all the fabulous zingy oranges around
in fashion just now, peach tones in make-up
are an essential. So flattering to any skin
tone, peach is so much kinder to the face
than pink, which can sometimes pick up on
any bluish tones to the face and lips.
In the 80’s peach was absolutely the colour
to wear both in fashion and in make-up think
Jacqueline Bisset, Victoria Principal, Jacqueline
Smith, all the super-sexy, very feminine
women of the day. Neutrals are on every
catwalk this season too so a softer make-up
look is a perfect compliment.
Peach tones have the effect of putting the
face almost into soft focus, rather like
a candlelight effect so it’s great at disguising
fine lines and imperfections and is wonderful
at softening a sharp featured face.
