If you're on a budget this season, don't neglect your skincare routine - there are some really great products at good prices out there if you know where to look. We really love Garniers Skin Natural Soft Essentials range. It comes in dry/sensitive and oil/combination formulas and are really effective and pleasant to use.

The Replenishing Day Cream has a lovely soft rose fragrance and will suit all but the very dry complexions, and the toner is gentle enough on sensitive skins. The range is generally priced at around £5 per item but we found them less than half price at Tesco's at the moment!

If you want to combine moisturisation with an evening out of skin tone, then look no further than Barbara Daly's Facelift. A velvety textured cream, it has illuminating qualities and can be worn either alone for a fresh faced look or as a base for foundation. Its light texture won't clog pores and a little goes a long way. Smells wonderful too!

Stay on trend this season with drop dead red nails! Red is everywhere this winter - shoes, coats, bags, you name it, red is the colour. And this season red nails are absolutely vital.

If you don't fancy a pillar box red, then look out for the deep, rich reds in almost everyone's range at the moment. We particularly like Rimmels 60 seconds Rapid Ruby which dries quickly and has really great staying power. Finish with an extra glossy top coat for fab party nails!

For really unusual fragrances in the bath, have a smell of Radox's 'Tea' range. The white tea bath crème has an unusual, spa type fragrance, soft yet fresh at the same time and at around £1 each, they won't break the bank!
