If
you're looking for a really soft,
conditioning lipstick take a look at Cliniques
Butter Shine range. One of the few lipsticks
around at the moment that doesn't have
gritty 'glitter' particles, yet it's a
lovely glossy texture giving the look
of a gloss with the staying power of a
lipstick.
There's a wide variety of colours, from
neutrals to more vivid shades, and we
love the chrome - style bullet too. Ideal
for those with dry lips or the more mature
lady as glitter particles are particularly
drying and ageing (priced at around £14).
With
all the fabulous shades of olive green
in fashion this autumn, if you haven't tried
it as an eye shadow colour yet then now's
the time. Olive suits almost all complexions
and eye colours and is fabulous both for
daytime and a more 'smoky eye' evening look.
It's also a great colour to team with the
burnt oranges and mustards that are so hot
for this season's knitwear. Team with a
blusher from the peach/bronze family rather
than the pinks from this summer and lipsticks
from the same colour palette.
At this time of year, many of us swap our
pinks,
neutrals and French polish on our nails
for the fab darker shades on the market.
But don't forget to use a really good base
coat before applying darker colours as they
really can stain the nails and using extra
nail polish remover can really strip and
dry the nails causing weakening.
Follow darker colours with a good hardwearing
top coat such as Seche Vite or Leighton
Dennys top coat as this will help prolong
your colour. And remember dark colours are
not just for those with talons, they can
look really great on short, neat nails too!
If you're
needing a little 'lift' in your beauty
routine to combat the signs of ageing, then
Gatineau's lifting and firming throat gel
can help. Its light non-greasy texture is
easy to use and leaves the neck and décolleté
area really smooth and silky.
Its salon formula harnesses the latest advances
in anti-ageing skin case and although it
appears a little pricey, a little really
does go a long way, so a tiny bead will
be enough for the whole neck area.
