Be Aware, Show You Care!
Most women will be aware that October is Breast Cancer Care month, with many High Street stores promoting their own selection of products which will help raise both awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Care.

Everyday in the UK over 100 people will hear the devastating news that they have breast cancer. Almost all of us will be touched by it in some way, be it a loved-one, a colleague a friend or indeed yourself.

All of us can do our bit by supporting the charity’s which are so important to those who are suffering. It’s not hard to fall in love with the fabulous range of pink products which support the campaign and all of us can make a difference by purchasing at least one of the great things on offer.

Asda launched their Tickled Pink campaign in 1996 and it has gone from strength to strength raising much needed funds each year. Take a look at their pretty flower design Nail File at £3 or their set of luxury make-up brushes in natural bristle. Starting at £3 they have soft touch handles which sport the Breast Cancer Care logo. If it’s a make-up bag you need Asda have a beautiful chocolate brown with pink flowers Lisa Stickley bag which comes in a presentation box for £12.50. Look out for further products in their electrical department and even the toy department which support the campaign.

From 1st October Tesco have some cute pink slipper socks with gorgeous little diamante hearts for £3 and pretty pink pyjamas at £7, both of which will have a 10% donation to Cancer Research.

Boots have really pulled out all the stops this year and have lots of dinky little products that are really affordable and so useful. We all need a compact mirror in our handbag and their pink and white one comes with the Breast Cancer Care logo and is in the sweetest little pouch at £5. The Kabuki make-up brush is fabulous – really chunky and in its own pouch 10% of its £5 price tag will help the campaign.

And possibly for the younger generation there is a pretty little No 7 lip gloss featuring the ribbon logo – gorgeously natural with a hint of pink goes fab with any skin tone.
Denenham’s are supporting the campaign with a range of products which include a donation with every purchase of Sarah Jessica Parker’s ‘Lovely’ perfume.

There are many other company’s taking part so do try to make a purchase if you can. We love New Looks ‘Wear it Pink’ t-shirts in 100% cotton and the most fabulous shade of pink ever.

If you love your Birkenstocks then their Hot Pink Madrid Sandals are also contributing. If you love your nails OPI are helping with donation from their nail varnish shade ‘Pink Positively’ and with the weather we’re having why not invest in some really pretty pink thermals by Damart who are also supporting the campaign.

If you can’t run to a larger donation this year then every little really does help and there are many ribbon logo brooch pinks for £1 donation at many outlets up and down the country. So dip into your purse and show you care and buy something beautiful at the same time!
