For some time hair type and styles, using a full size hair straightener can be a little difficult. They can be cumbersome and awkward on shorter styles and overly big for very fine hair.

The Corioliss Mini is ideal in these instances. It's a teeny-weeny straightener that performs just as effectively as its bigger opponents. The barrel is smaller and thinner and it's much lighter - an excellent choice for those with thinner, finer hair and great for managing shorter hair.

It's easy to use near the roots, giving good lift to those who need it. It's also ideal for packing in your bag for holidays or weekends away. We particularly love the red and black animal print design.
With the arrival of spring it's essential that you don't leave home without SPF protection.

Although the weather may not be at its hottest, the suns rays even at this time of year can be damaging and also cause early ageing signs.

Most good moisturizers contain a sun protection factor nowadays but check to see if your does. If not you will need to use added protection or switch to one that does.

If you are using a moisturizer that is a designated 'night cream', perhaps because your skin is dry, then it is unlikely to contain an SPF.

And if you want to avoid deepening those fine lines around the eyes then don't squint - invest in a good pair of shades!
It's just about now that we all get out our strappy sandals and flip flops and then curl up in horror at the state of our feet! Tucked away in socks and boots all winter it's probably been some time since you paid them any attention.

But nothing spoils a look more than dead, hard, dry skin and unkempt toe nails. Time to put in some repair work before the really good weather arrives.

Skin on the feet is really quite tough so a strong exfoliator used twice a week will soon do its work. Don't rub too vigorously though - a firm but gentle massage will do the job. Always follow on with a decent layer of cream, lotions are not usually effective enough on feet some invest in a heavier duty cream, and it will be most effective if applied just before bed.

Toe nails should always be trimmed just after a bath when nails are more pliable to avoid snapping and follow with a file just as you would fingernails. Never 'see-saw' back and forth with a file as this causes splitting and peeling.

If you can invest in a glass or crystal nail file they really are so much better for the job.

If you love colour on your toes then follow with 2 coats of top coat to make it last but even if you prefer no colour, toe nails always look prettier with just a clear coat of varnish to make them look healthier.

For a lovely manicured look to the feet we love L'Occitane's Foot Cream, Leighton Denny's Crystal Nail File and Seche Vite top coat.
